I forgot how awesome Drugstore Cowboy was

How is it that the only DVD release for this movie is a dinky little featureless disc that lacks even subtitles?  This is probably Gus Van Sant's best movie.  Okay, not really saying that much, but it is UBER AWESOME.

Drugstore Cowboy and My Own Private Idaho are both great movies.  After that, I think he realized he couldn't make movies around the same set of themes and ideas for his entire career, so he branched out.  It's been hit or miss ever since.  I can't really blame him for trying to move on though.  Better that than to rust.
