Oh god I forgot how good this season was. I think season 1 is still the best but season 3 > season 2.

Episode 1:

Bernard coughing and pale.

BERNARD: Not so good, not feeling so good.  Coffee and something, medicine.  (Eats some slug pellets)  Kapow oven cleaner, if you can clean an oven you can clean me.  (fills his mouth with oven cleaner) Ah, coffee. 

HE Takes one teaspoon of coffee out of the jar and then fills the jar with hot water & drinks it, THEN PROCEEDS TO COUGH VIOLENTLY.

MANNY: Bernard I’m sorry, it was my fault you toasted my hand, will you take me back please, Bernard, where are you Bernard?

BERNARD: Manny, Manny I don’t feel that well, like I’ve been beaten up under water.  I can feel bits of my brain falling away like a wet cake, will you help?

BERNARD: Oh no, he still sleeps here, burrowed in like the little tick he is.  But he leaves every day, every day is another betrayal.

yeah I borrowed the whole 3 seasons box set off my ex-girlfriend (well gf at the time lolz) watched the whole thing, a couple of eps every night. You seen Twin Peaks maf?

nah but its recommended by TVC quite a bit. Ill probably get around to it once I dig out of my current queue

If you like Picket Fences, you will probably like TP.  Picket Fences is clearly going for some of the same feel.  TP is quite a bit different, though.  It's not only weird like PF, but it's also this (purposefully) sort of parody or satire of soap operas, from the score to the bizarre characters to some of the plot points.  During the good parts of the show (all of season 1 and most of season 2, aside from about 6 episodes in the middle or so), it generally KNOWS how silly it is during these soap opera-y bits.

A lot of it was also filmed like 20 miles from us, too.

As an apoplectically misanthropic Irishman, I of course love this show, but I do feel it should be pointed out that the character is thieved blatantly from 'Withnail & I'. But if you're going to steal, steal from the best, I say.
