Have those characters been in any other strips?  I do like it a lot.  They're appealing and I like how it's monochromatic.

Yeah its just a pain to find them on PAs Website.

I believe the first time they mentioned Twisp and Catchby was in the strip where they were poking at Kevin Smith and Jersey Girl.  Smith had said the film wasn't for critics, so Tycho and Gabe made a panel about a cat talking about cheese or something, and said that the strip wasn't for their critics.  It was quite funny.

I actually find Twisp and Catsby far far funnier than regular PA.

But wait, I had always assumed (obviously) that the cat was Catsby. Is it a typo in this comic, or is the cat really Twisp?

Gabe and Tycho were a lot blunter in their first few years towards games and various industry and web people, it was funny

but now their creators are apparently creatively bankrupt

They had a spinoff earlier back in the days called The Bench featuring one of them with a squirrel. It went on for about 50 issues or so then went away just like that

Gabe and Tycho were a lot blunter in their first few years towards games and various industry and web people, it was funny

Well they do tons of comission work for various game companies (like Ubisoft) and mags; they can't really shit on them all the time but they are still pretty critical.

yeah that's true, at one point they got an offer to publish one of their comics every month in OPM, so maybe they began to be a little more mature at that point

I recognize that they're still blunt and critical, however it feels a lot faker

but what's funny in these comics with weird drawings having puns that very little people can understand, they're just alienating their readership by doing this aren't they?
