Can you give an example of what you usually eat all day? I actually need to gain weight but I do need to start eating better.
I eat the most (and worst) during breakfast. But as long as you're not eating something outrageous for breakfast (fast food, i'm looking at you), then you will probably be ok.
This morning I got a fresh over easy egg, piece of toast, piece of bacon and a banana for breakfast with some orange juice.
In about 1 hour, I'll have an apple.
For lunch, I'll probably get a club sandwich (no mayo) with a pickle and some water.
About an hour after lunch, I'll eat an orange.
And then for dinner I'll probably make me a leg of chicken with some some sort of green on the side with water.
I also take some fruit and oats or something to munch on in between these.
When you eat this way, you tend to get hungry more often (obviously), but you are also satisfied by food more easily as opposed to all the additives in fast food and processed food that keep you craving for more. And after you eat this way for a while, it makes fast food pretty disgusting and will fuck up your stomach horribly. If I eat fast food one night for dinner, then I won't be hungry until mid day the next day.
When the divorce shit started happening in May, I noticed that my appetite dropped massively, and after a couple of weeks I'd shed a load of weight. With more stress since then, and being able to control my appetite these days, things have been going well... at the start of the year I was about 88kg, and now I'm hovering between 75-77kg.
The most important thing for me is to check my weight on a regular basis so it doesn't get too out of control. Every now and then I'll pig out if I'm feeling really depressed about something, but I tend to recover pretty quickly. I went back up to 78kg before the Underworld gig last night, and when I got back in the morning I was 75kg again.
The most important thing I've found helping is cutting out soda. I always drank diet soda as it was, but I think either the alternative sweeteners or all that CO2 must have been helping me keep the weight on. I also used to eat a choc bar after every meal, just about, and I've stopped that, pretty much.
I really need some new clothes though. I have to wear belts on everything
Oh yeah... good job Moops
Thanks!
Same thing happened with me after my divorce, but after I got over my funk I packed on some weight. I'm pretty much rid of it now.
As for before and after pics, I'm saving those for when I'm back to my desired physique. I've been taking pictures every few weeks for my official "it's fucking gone" thread.
