Solitary Vacation

I'm thinking about taking a vacation by myself. I'm not sure what I want to do or where I want to go.  Anyone ever done this?  Any ideas?

I've done this before.  I went to California a couple years ago.  However, I went to visit friends so it's not like I was by myself the whole time.

I was thinking about hiking, but I don't think I would be able to cut off my own arm if it came to it.

I dunno.  We've argued a few times.  That's about it.  She's acting tougher than how she really feels, I suppose. That's what we all do.

solitary vacations rock.  i tagged along w/ a buddy of mine when he went to london to visit his g/f.  he had family there so i was able to stay with them and i just took the underground every morning by myself into the city and absorbed the hell out of it.  went to some coffee shops and did some writing.  it was nice not having the pressure to go sight seeing with family or friends -- it really felt like a choose your own adventure vacation.  highly recommended.

That is one thing I have never witnessed. 

Besides that though, I can't really go to London, too pricey, but it does help....
