If I had a cell, I would totally buy it and replay it again.

Yeah I've been contemplating on whether or not to buy this before I head out of town this week. Seems like a good throwback to oldschool Western RPGs.

Picked it up yesterday along with Mega Man ZX:Advent and Mass Effect (got a pretty good amount of money back from selling my school books). I put an hour into it on difficult and made it to the first boss before I got slaughtered. So far it's pretty much what I expected: a throwback to the early PC RPG days mixed in with some hack n' slash. Also if you have headphones, use them, as the game oozes the atmosphere out pretty thickly. Lots of nice sound effects from bugs crawling on the walls, water dripping, doors creaking, etc. Plus the Wolfenstine/Doom look, for me, adds to the experience.

It's a good game for those looking for something straight forward, old fashion, not overly complex, and want to diversify their DS RPG collection. The story cuts to the chase with little bullshit and the bite size levels make it good to play it in small bursts. Also the price dropped down to $20 which is suitable for this game. Now I kinda want to try Doom RPG.

Ah, it's down to $20, I'll definitely have to pick it up. I played the demo a few months ago and seemed pretty fun. How long is it, demi?

Hiya Joe!

I swear I will try out some of those adventure games now that school is finished! Anyways I read somewhere (probaby GAF) that it was about ten hours. Also, while I was looking up info on Doom RPG, I just noticed that Orcs and Elves II got released as well (on for cellphones). Any word on whether or not Doom RPG is going to get ported to DS?

10 hours is a good time. I really didn't want to get into some 500 hour dungeon crawl where all the enemies and levels look the same except sometimes you fight Red Dragons and sometimes you fight Blue Dragons. I still haven't even finished Persona 3 yet.

I had $13 in credit a Gamestop, so I got Orcs & Elves today. Played it for about an hour. I enjoy it's no-BS approach to the genre, just pure hacking and slashing. I would have appreciated more phat lewt to collect, however. Stupid dragon is hoarding all the good stuff, and the bitch won't give it up. I can't even afford a flaming sword yet. :(

10 hours was a bit generous, I took me less than 4 1/2 hours to beat it. Although to be fair, I was playing on Normal and I didn't find all the secret rooms. Still, it was a good weekend game.

Use the Medusa Scroll to turn him to stone, then hack away at him. It took me a while to figure it out. The wand kept yelling out Scroll! Scroll! And I'm like what scroll you stupid git? Then I was like oh yeah, that scroll, I forgot I had that.

I am tempted.  I never played this, but I loved Doom RPG on cell phones, but I think this might be a bit lite for a full fledged DS game.  What is the verdict?
