Has anyone played ALL of those? jeez, i like shooters but the number of good ones (and the hardware you need to play 'em all) this year is just daunting. I still haven't finished Bioshock ffs, and have barely touched the MP in most of the games I have finished. Also, I'd have thought Rainbow Six: Vegas would be worth a few 3rd place votes if it were on the list...and 3rd place votes existed...

Cormac, didn't Vegas come out last year?

Bioshock was my favorite single player FPS experience, and Halo 3 has been my favorite in multi. But as I prefer multi to single player in FPS games, Halo 3 gets my vote.

Shadowrun my personal multiplayer fps goty for me. Anyone who disses this game is a fucking sheep who hasnt spent more than 5 minutes with the game, that is, if they even tried it at all. Playing other team fps after getting into the races and customizables spells combos and tech tools make other games feel distinguished mentally-challenged.

First Post.

Halo 3 was probably the best pure shooter, Bioshock probably comes in second. The last two levels in Halo 3 were pretty disappointing but the rest was pretty solid. Didn't finish MP3 or Orange Box (360 shit the bed before I even had a chance to play it). CoD4 is the best multiplayer shooter I've played in ages, I was never a big Halo guy to begin with. My 360 probably died because of that game, I would play 3-4 hours at a time and never even realized where the time had gone. I didn't really like what I played of the single player portion of the game.
