Datel Power Dock for PSP

Bought it for $5 today.  Supposedly the external battery bumps your bat life up to 20 hrs, but that is of course probably bullshit.  Anyway, anyone heard of these things essploding PSPs, or is it relatively safe (albeit awkward and unattractive)?  I'm charging it now, so really who gives a fuck if it works or not, it was only 5 bucks, but still, I like my face without molten plastic stuck to it so I'm asking.

It's this little doohickey that you snap on the back of your PSP, and the external battery slides into it.  You then use a minicord to plug it into the DC in on the PSP.  The battery is pretty cool, it has a lighted button you can check the charge level on.  Best Buy had it on their clearance rack, so I figured fuck it, I've wasted $5 on much worse shit.

Five bucks, maybe on clearance right now at your local Best Buy.  Buy it and load your memory stick up with Reba Episodes for a day long comedy/stroke marathon without fear of power failure.
