So i'm feeling like crap and i like spending money and a console is the most reasonable expensive purchase i can make. most anything above that will be a waste of money.

and to be honest, there's not much that compells me on any of the platforms, but each of them has SOMETHING i want.

I think you should get a PS3. You mentioned you were a Home Theater nut in a previous thread. Once you go Blu-ray you can't go back, IMO. I don't own an HD-DVD player so I can't make any judgments regarding that. It's DVD upscaling is also fantastic.

i went to a gamestop for a psp and actually asked for it and was going to get it, but the guy told me they were out of them. so he called 5 other stores and they were out. so i said fuck it. i'll go look tomorrow.

but i liked rman's ps3 list and when i think about it, i've regretted every handheld i've purchased because i like the games, but i don't travel enough to play it on the road or something and i always end up playing home consoles if i'm at home

are there any deals like buying a ps3 and getting movies free at best buy or something? i'm thinking about it...

Mupes, wait awhile to get the PSP if you don't like the current colors. I heard they'll bring more colors to the NA next year. I want to get a white one but I don't want that gay Vader logo on the back.

The best deal for a PS3 is probably to find a used 60gb. I barely play PS2 games anymore but BC'll probably come in handy for nostalgic purposes.

oh i do. a fry's about 2 miles away. I'll check that out. And I don't own many ps2 games, so BC really isn't that important. besides, i'll get the 80gb if i get anything.

ichi and smooth: colors are the least of my concern for the psp. i like the black one the best anyways.

PSP is a good little system though, no doubt about that. If it weren't for DS hogging all my handheld time, I'd be all over PSP.

Yeah, my main problem isn't the games on the PSP, it's how soon my honeymoon always ends with portable gaming.

i don't mind the touch screen. I just don't care for the majority of the games. All of the ones I'm interested in are mostly remakes which isn't much of an incentive for buying a console.
