My ethernet port in my xbox is broken.

Bloodwake if you download this demo I will totally drive down there to play it. The preceding sentence would be true if you lived in Mexico. I NEED some burnout bad.

I only played a few races ever.  graphics were good though.  I thought the gameplay was too simplistic even for a arcade racer though.

well that's a demo.  plus the MP in that game is apparently really good.

While I like arcadey racers, I guess I just prefer more technical ones.

Which one is the lead SKU? I remember hearing the PS3 version is the lead SKU.  Is this right?

I think so.  I haven't heard of any difference between the two versions though.

If the 360 version turns out to be superior anyway, GAF will fucking explode.

You should start a rumor that the 360 version contains more realistic sparks. PS3 has low-res sparkmapping, only 680p instead of the full-HD 1080p sparks that the 360 has.

the funny thing is that they'll bring up evidence on how sparks looked slightly better in the PS2 version of burnout or how lost planet had explosions at 1/4 the resolution.

...and they'll still be shitting salt tabs damage controlling it for years.  assuming it's of course a rumor.  I really hope that that quaz guy on B3D finds out something like this is happening, not because I hate PS3 but because the reaction would be hilarious.

"The demo will be playable online, though we aren't able to hop on just yet as the game tells us that the servers aren't up. Still, you'll be able to join in with your friends and start a Freeburn Online session. Freeburn sessions are where you'll be able to partake in specially designed stunt sessions and the like, but as we can't hop online yet we haven't been able to test them out."

If the 360 version turns out to be superior anyway, GAF will fucking explode.

360 Version:

-It has triggers that aren't ass.
-Online is better.
-This is the second burnout game on the 360.
-Lots people will buy this game

PS3 Version:

-The PS3 market isn't exactly a non-stop flood of awesome games so this is a wanted addition.
-Like 2 people will buy it.

Agreed with all of the above, especially the last point for each list. The community has become the deciding factor for me for games like this. Why would I get the PS3 version when most of my friends will have the 360 version? I have no fucking idea why Criterion is clinging to this notion of PlayStation being the leading console platform...i can only hope Ken's jizz was tasty enough to make up for the bitter, bitter sales data and the potential death of the franchise (which was apparently in big danger after Revenge).
