dmc fans that care about the story are so weird. i mean, it's ridiculous and it has the "fill your dark soul with light" line. if that wasn't enough to make you get off it, nothing will.

the dmc4 settings seen so far are no way worse than some of dmc3's. mission 14-18 were terrible, the level design was just atrocious. and besides, the levels looked too much alike, and while that did make sense to help set up the mood - especially in dmc1 - it's better to have more variety.

dmc4 may not be as good as the other 2, but that'd because of the gameplay, not the story or the setting.

and you can't beat dmc1/3 with the guns, if that's what you're implying.

I heard the lighting model was overhauled, I heard TN was trying to implement destructable environments, and I heard it might even have a new art style. It really has none of these things. I'm not even entirely sure what sets it apart from DOA4 or NGS, assuming it doesn't have that strange loading problem and vsync issues.

as for loading problem and vsync issues, NG/B didn't have any issues, only Sigma suffered from that.
