Rumors?
I am happy with it so far.
I am more afraid people compare its growth to that of NeoGAF. I've seen GAF when it was GEO, and even before that. It wasn't always as big as it is now, and I will say that it's size has nothing to do with the efforts of the current administration. GAF is as big as it is because before GAF, the forum was connected to one of the best, if not (for the time) the best Gaming Fan-Sites around. Once the quality of the website dropped as experienced people left and holes were filled, perhaps a little too quickly, the forum was at a point where it simply was able to feed off itself.
In short GAF is now a monster that feeds off of its legend and sheer mass, spiralling through the cosmos towards a destination even its current administration cannot predict. It is a slave to its membership, and as such will either continue on at a steady pace, or meet an embarassing and expected demise at some point.
If anything Evilore is commited, and I suppose that is to the forums credit.
Evilbore is something else entirely. For the most part we dont actively recruit people. We do encourage members to tell others about the website, and are capable (currently) of handling a load much larger than we have now. However we really dont have a DRAW aside from the idea that we provide a safe-for-work place to chat without being moderated for arbitrary reasons.
Honestly tho, thats enough for me. I enjoy talking to 80% of the people here, and I am willing to tollerate the people I currently dont care for simply because I know some of the people I do like, like the people I do not. We hit roughly 18-25 max users at once per day, which isnt a huge number. However I think it is a consistant number, and an indicator of why our weekend traffic is improving.
As always the health of a forum demands quality content from its members, not amazing miracles from its administration.
