It's that time again.  After only roughly 6 months, a new ps2 SRW game is almost upon us, featuring a ton of new guys, some series 1sts, and some old favorites, in what looks to be the last ps2 outing for the series (unless of course they have OG 3 planned for ps2 0_o)

1st pressing comes with a perfect file just like the 1st game (this is a dvd case sized mini artbook)

Box Art:

Limited Edition Goodies:

-Fiona & Raul - Excellence Lightning Frame and Eternal Frame confirmed

-Fernando - no word on an upgrade yet, but you can expect Apothesized Valefor as well

Villains:
-Swordian - From Scramble Commander
-Shura Gods
-Emi - Piloting the G-Thunder Gate - What is her relationship to Kouta and Shouko? (might be a hero later!)

Confirmed Returning Favorites (who get upgrades / new stuff in some capacity):
-Ibis - Astelion AX
-Sanger - Unlocked attacks for DyGenGuar
-Ryusei - ART-1 - New combo attack with Mai in the R-1

December 27th Bitches,
Let the froth begin.

Since there's an actual chance in hell that this will get localized for North America, I'm not importing.... yet.

Did you try the GBA ones?  They are pretty solid.

Also, if you have a fat ps2 and a spare IDE hard drive, you too can experience the awesome via a series of extensive FAQs with one of those HD loader things.  every srw game on ps2 works awesome on them.

Aside from the two GBA games, I've got Super Robot Wars Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 for the PS2, and Super Robot Wars GC for the Gamecube, they're all incredibly over the top awesome. I need to buy more SRW games.

If you have a psp, MX portable is pretty good, although its technically inferior, its the only portable srw that has battle voices :-D
The only real issue with the game is some loading, but its got a ton of options and toggles to customize it to your liking.

Even I'm interested in this and I might be the biggest anti-Japafag here.  Giant robots, stats, strategy sound like a great combination of fun.

There's a chance the first SRW OG may come here on the PS2. Slight chance, but a chance.

I will be happy to answer questions to any 1st time importers who need help getting into the series, theres also a ton of FAQ's available.  really you can play these without understanding a word of japanese.  although learning kana helps (this will take about a week with practice)

SRW MX is a pretty easy one to get into, and its on psp.  Difficulty is kind of a joke if you know what you are doing, but since psp is region free its a perfect starting point for many.

If you want to pick up a copy, its only 30 bucks:
