How is the online play? Smooth, or choppy a bit like last year? Is the shot "boosting" still retardedly mapped to the left bumper?

I just heard that the Difficulty was upped some. So you actually have to work for Birdies now. Thats about it though, I should be getting a 360 soon enough and this is one of the games I want.
