Todays quest: flogging off a copy of Shin Sangoku Musou 5
« on: December 12, 2007, 05:11:25 PM »
Okay a colleague has approached me to sell a copy of this game that she recieved as a gift, she aint got no ps3 so its of no use to her. If I had a ps3 I would buy it off her but I dont, thus we are listing it on an online auction site.

Couple of questions:

It'll play on any PS3 right? even a PAL one?

Would it be 'import friendly'? (im guessing the menus will be navigable) The people that would be buying ps3 games off this site bought ps3's becuase they though GTA4 and Gran Turismo were launch titles, own Need for Speed games and are waiting for the Singstar to come out.

Did this game recieve good reviews? I want to link to some glowing praise when I list it so we can can sell this badboy

any advice would be appreciated ;)

PS3 games are region free, yes.

While the game is in Japanese, the navigational map should tell you pretty much everything you need to know about what to do next.

I'm playing Gundam Dynasty Warriors; the game is really fun!

It's playable, but you're going to have zero idea what the storyline is, who the characters are (never mind that their names are in Kanji, they also use the Japanese names, not the original Chinese names), what the weapon attributes are, etc.  Also if there's anything to a stage other than beating the opposing force, it might take you a few tries to find where you need to go or who you need to protect.  I'm sure there are FAQs out now, though...haven't checked.

There was a GAF (yes, GAF) quote that sums it up perfectly: DW6 is akin to Madden 2006 on the next-gen consoles.  It needed more development time.  The game feels rushed and lacking in some areas, and a lot of things from the previous versions are missing.  The same areas get recycled for several different battles.  Most of the cast was changed...many feel for the worse.  They got rid of a lot of the cooler weapons and added more spears and swords.  A think an expansion or DW7 is going to end up much better.  This game is by no means bad, but it could have been a lot better.

Use the forum search!  My buddy Muckson posted a review just a few days ago...
