It came out here today.  Is this game worth it all, or is it complete garbage?  I'm always up for a BEU/hack n' slash and this one does have two player...

Yes, I admit it.  I bought Project Gotham Racing 4 and Orange Box because of those HUGE KNOCKERS on the box covers.  And Akira on VF5's cover?  SEXY MAN BOOBS!

I got my (free) copy of EGM in the mail today, they didn't like it very much. One of the reviewers compared it to the bonus beat-em-up modes in past Tekken titles, and was appalled that Namco is charging people full price for it.

Gameplay sounds like "run into a room, fight all the enemies until the inivisible walls go away, and then run to the next room until you find the boss."

Sounds like a beat-em-up to me!     How is that different than any other BEU?

On the podcast Shane kept calling it a wagglefest and said he beat an entire level just by flailing his arms.  But I thought I remembered them saying it was fun in multiplayer, and that's the main reason I'd be buying it.  Actually the ONLY reason I'm considering it is because I have a pointcard with 3400 yen sitting on it that I could use towards the game...

If you're hurting for a quality beat-em-up, just go play Shadow of Rome (underrated), God Hand, The Red Star, Yakuza 1 and 2, or any of those Dynasty Warrior games and ripoffs I know you've got.  Soul Calibur Legends looks like the mediocre dreck that it can only be, and nobody should trust Namco to make a good BEU after Death by Degrees.

I bought it yesterday, applying the 3400 yen worth of points I got on point card from buying an 8gb memory stick pro duo.  This way, I paid around 2800 yen out of my own pocket for the game, and if I sell it off within the next few days, I'll get MORE than that amount back in cash.   

It's actually not as bad a game as some people have made it out to be.  Nothing great, so I can see where the 6s are coming from.  If you're a Soul Calibur fan, you might want to try this if only for the storyline.  There's a good bit of dialogue present.  It seems like the characters have a number of moves, too, but the problem is that you can just wave the controller around like an idiot and do tons of badass combos.

They still kinda flop around, I guess.  I dunno since I only have Sieggy and Ivy playable, and I'm using Siegfried.  The character detail is WEIRD, especially the faces.  I don't know if the game looks as good as Soul Calibur II did.

I will, assuming I end up holding onto it and not selling it off within the next couple of days.  The camera is fine and it doesn't have any of the problems that Death By Degrees had, BTW...it is very much a straight-out arcade BEU.
