Also, the new 8800 GTS came out. Seeing how well they've made the #2 card makes me real excited about the next top-end model.

The 1 up yours crew seem to be hyped on Burnout.

Maybe they'll disown their hype when it comes out like they did to Need for Speed prostreet.

it's really pretty, but sandbox mechanics are SO SO SO WRONG for this series. i am trying to pretend that there is no burnout legacy here and to enjoy it on its own merits, but in that case, it's just a very gorgeous but very very very generic street racer. where is the speed! the crazy jumps! the insane track design was what made revenge so fucking awesome

Again, I'll wait for the full game of Burnout Paradise before I write it off entirely. People who have played the full game keep saying it's good. There's a whole city + countryside there, so perhaps the crazy parts just aren't present in the demo. Looks like there'll be tons to do from all the blocked events I kept passing.

And I will bet, if the outcry is loud enough (and it is even possible), that there will be a Crash Mode DLC in the future.
