I was supposed to go to a conference on the Singapore Math Model tomorrow for work, but the presenter is stuck in Massachusetts and had to cancel, because his flight to Seattle is delayed.

Fuck. Now I have to go to work tomorrow.

What is the Singapore Math Model?  Does it involve caning bad math students?  I'd vote for it.

I had 6 hours of personal/sick time that's gonna go to waste if I don't use em by Christmas, so I took off 3 hours early today. Drive home today sucked, roads were all slushy as hell, and I saw like 4 accidents on the road, including a RL in a ditch (with a tow truck ready to hitch it out) and a Nissan SUV with its front totally smashed in. Glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow since I am off on Fridays!

Heh, I'm sure they do that over in Singapore.  :lol

It's the math curriculum that's used over in Singapore. It's proven to be really effective with American students, and my district is looking to use it as a supplemental intervention material with our special education secondary students.
