There was a time when rap was groundbreaking. It could make you dance and make you think. Yet today, mainstream rap is dominated by a group of people with no imagination, no innovation, and no talent. That's why we see 20 rappers who's name starts with "Young" or "Lil", or why every song has to advocate some "dance" move such as snapping fingers. The music is dominated by fads.

Rappers today dance right into the stereotypes that have haunted blacks for years. The music is heavily Misogynst while presenting blacks in a rather ignorant light. To be smart, or to talk normal English is to "act white" to these people; this is constantly shown in rap videos, or in black movies/comedy skits. BET propogates this every day.

That's what I always think. These guys get all the women right now, but the truth is they aren't going anywhere in life. Sure they have nice cars right now, but they still live in the projects and work at McDonalds.

This is the reason why I'm not too upset about not having a girlfriend. 19 year old girls seem to be caught up in the bad boy image, but as they grow older they realize that "bad boys" do go anywhere in life.

I expect when you are out of college things will be fine. College is still about popularity regardless what people tell you. Just don't get worked up over it. You'll get a good career and be able to find someone. This ain't the 1950's. People get married and have kids often at 35+. You are by no means running out of time or anything.

I try to ignore the popularity shit here. These kids have managed to bring their highschool cliches/diva personalities to the college level. Luckily I didn't go to a traditional highschool so I didn't have to deal with that Huron/Ypsi/Pioneer/Lincoln HS bullshit
