Spent the last week/weekend playing the following:

-Tekken 6 (Arcade): Got owned by a couple of experts at the game center, but managed to hold my own pretty decently with Asuka.  I need a lot of practice with Bob, and although I lost, I DID manage to get this high-ranked Nina pokerplayer down to no life using Bob's rising stomach attack.  It was pretty fucking funny watching this guy run into this move OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.  The players around here just do the same shit from Tekken 5 DR and don't try to learn anything new; I think it's going to be easy to start beating them all if I stick to the new characters....they don't seem to know how to handle them.  :lol  This will be a different story at the GOOD arcade downtown, though...whenever the hell they finally get TK6 there, the real competition begins.

-Virtua Fighter 5 Live Arena (360): After Tekken, my friend and I went back to my place and we played a shitload of VF5.  I'm really finding this game very rewarding to learn, and it feels so much more responsive than Tekken (yes, even 6) does.  Played a few online matches and got my ass kicked, but we both were really impressed at how there was zero lag (against other players in Japan, anyway).  We played a bit of TK5 DR on PS3 too, but went back to VF5 in the end.  I really like TK5 DR and TK6, but I'm beginning to like VF5 MORE.   :o

-Halo 3 (360): Jumped on for some 2P online shinannigans.  Despite the distinguished mentally-challenged fellows and kids screaming unintelligible dribble into their mics, I still find this the best multiplayer game on Xbox Live.  Considering getting those new maps too.

-We Love Golf (Wii): My friend was impressed with this but still seemed to have a preference for Super Swing Golf Pangya.  I think he's nuts.   :)

Today I'm free all day; probably gonna play more VF5, Kingdom Under Fire COD, and We Love Golf, but Mass Effect is callin', as is CoD4.  Then there's Wii Wii games like No More Heroes.  I have way too many games to play from the last two months alone.  Assassin's Creed is staying on the shelf until I beat at least one of the other new games.

As soon as my next credit card payment goes through in a couple of days, I'm there.  Probably gonna order Unreal Tournament III too.

I bought Fable off of XBL.  I was never really into it before but I'm LOVIN' it now.  I know it's "cool" to hate the game but once you strip away all the previous expectations and pretentious PR that surrounded it and are willing to look past some freaky character models, you're left with a pretty fun little action RPG.  I'm actually amazed in how much I'm liking it now 3 years later.

I want to try this, but it's not the special edition.   :-\

Just more Tales of the Abyss. I also bought Mercury Meltdown Revolution for Wii, for $20 tonight, and played a bit of it. It's pretty cool, I'm a sucker for these "marble" games, and MMR is more puzzle-based than Kororinpa, even though it seems even slower and more deliberate.

Yeah, that's the kicker.  I told myself that I wasn't going to download Fable 'cause it wasn't the Lost Chapters version and I can buy it on disc for only a couple of bucks now but I was bored and still have a metric ton of XBL points laying around so I got it anyway.  I'm weak.  Hopefully MS will release Lost Chapters after they're done bilking suckers like myself for all of their money.

Still, I'm really liking it so it's not a total loss.

i'm on a total psone kick. about halfway through alundra, and am seriously making an effort to bring my r-type delta skillz back up to speed -- got to level 5 on normal, but my memory failed me in a few places and i got fuck pwned. i FINALLY beat dracula x chronicles (the rondo remake) and opened all the alternate paths. some of the alt paths are awesome, like stage 4'. it's a really good old-school castlevania, overall, although the last fight MADE ME RAGE.

btw, r-type delta is officially the best r-type. stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 are so, so, so FUCKING the collective platonic ideal of side-scrolling shooter stages. you can half do 'em by reflex, but the edge you gain from proper memorization and execution makes it so worthwhile. :bow :bow :bow this game definitely rules the subgenre.

Mainly Call of Duty 4 on the 360. I beat campaign mode on the regular difficulty earlier tonight. I've only ranked up to level 10 online so far.

Yeah, the last fight is such a bitch if you're playing with Richter... with Maria it's like a million times easier. Did you beat level 5'? Toughest level in the game IIRC...

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I was disappointed that there weren't any changes to the ending depending on who you beat it with... makes me wonder why I bothered with using Richter in the first place

FINALLY found a copy of COD4 near me.  I had rented it before and played the single player up to the lame fuckin barn level on hardcore and leveled up to 22 or so on live.  Put a few more levels in on live and beat that damn barn.  I love this game.

i'm not sure what to play lately, i got 1000 on skate today, so i had an internal struggle on what to play

so i picked up rock band to try again... only to get a red checkerboard, followed by a red ring soon after  :'(

so i turned it off, chatted with some peoploe crying over my misfortune, and turned it back on, only to find that it was working, and i did a couple songs just fine. so i think i'm hanging by a thread, i'm on life support.

so i popped in Zelda and i finished Arbiter's Grounds. that boss fight was sweet. that spinner item is cool. i think i'll work on this for a bit, and try and finish it.

Marble Blast Ultra - So, so awesome. Best 5 bucks I've ever spent. Playing online right now.

Lumines Live - It's a puzzle game, so I automatically like it, but I don't really love it.

Call of Duty 4 - This game is always in my disc tray (except when I want to watch a DVD). I'm stuck on "One Shot, One Kill" in SP, though. Being able to play MP with Beezy last night was awesome. I just destroyed noobs.

You're a monster.

What the hell is up with that extra mission at the end of the game? The Epilogue I think it was called. What was the point of it?

Just Crysis.  Game is freaking amazing.  I almost put down $700 for a 1K W power supply and a 2nd 8800 GTX just to play this game.  Too bad, 1920x1200 is still too high for 2 GTXes to handle.

Last night I had a bunch of guys over for our monthly Man Night get together. We played Halo 2 Rocketball for about five hours, and then finished up with some Rock Band until 2:30 am.

I think 5' opens only after you beat the game, it's been a while, though. I also am saying this based on the original Super CD version, haven't played the PSP one yet...

I've got a lot of games I've been unable to finish for the past month because of studying but now the quarter ended so I have two weeks.  woo?

I've barely dented SMG (~25-30 stars) so I need to get back into that.

I haven't opened MP3 from about 3-4 weeks ago and so maybe I'll return that and look for a deal or buy it later or something.  I need my metroid prime though.

I just finished King Kong.  the brutal achievement whore.

I'm about to finish hitman: BM and it's pretty damn good so far.  will definitely replay it on a harder difficulty once I'm done.

I'm also playing tomb raider legends.  I'm at the part right after the "classic" section.  I don't get the hate for the motorcycle part.  it really wasn't all that bad...

still working on far cry instincts predator.  probably not even halfway through the instincts part.

just started up the outfit.  I'm around the 3-4 level and it's got some problems but it's overall pretty fun.

I also have DOAX2 somehow and it's not that bad!  you can jet ski!!
