I just started Kingdom Hearts. Stay tuned this thread to hear me bitch!

Bitching 1: How do I make PS2 games not look like ass on PS3 on my HDTV? Jaggie city

I turned smoothing on, but no big help. I can live with it, but it would be nice if it looked smoother on the edges. I know textures are stuck at their current resolution, but isn't there a way to make the PS3 fix the aliasing from upscaling?

I couldn't stand the closet-sized areas, the dodgy platforming, the constant hack-and-slash against the Heartless, the lame gummy ship, and the spastic camera... I don't see how anybody can like this game, it was too flawed and not fun at all to play.

It basically has 1 town and the rest of the worlds are 4/5 random screens with the setting of that world filled and I mean FILLED with encounters. Nice horrible game.

I beat Sephiroth in both games, and did everything on Proud Mode. It's so good. I wish Final Mix would come over here.

I can live with the camera. What is getting to me already. . .is the Disney shit. I can deal with Square faggotry, but I forgot about the Disney faggotry.

I only remembered what I liked about the game. . .the beat em up elements and the mashiness. I forgot the one thing I truly hated, Disney Shit. Don't ask me how I forgot. . .

I like Disney but giving Disney characters a emo Square makeover is just supergay.

Also, I'm not surprised at the aliasing problems. The PS2 FF games had some of the worst shimmerring ever.

It's not that bad. . .it just looks kinda eh in a way that I am surprised the PS3 cannot smooth out, at least a bit. If the PS3 was putting some elbow grease into the emulation, it could look pretty great.

I find that if I am viewing the game in "full screen" mode and the game doesnt support widescreen they look like shyt.

KHII is not much better. In fact, in some ways it dumbs down the KH formula instead making it better. The only thing KHII does better than the first are the new Gummi Ship sections, which feel straight out of Panzer fucking Dragoon but in space. The story is far less coherent and shoe horns distinguished mentally-challenged overly covoluted plot instead of a simple, minimalist plot that suits the series far better. The battle system is a little better but that's not saying much. Also: Why did they make all reaction commands the triangle button? That's boring.

that sounds like something Parish would say, and stll be completely wrong

KH2 is better in all departments period, its inarguable - as the #1 Kingdom Hearts Fan around here (among being #1 fan of many other series and games), i have thoroughly examined all aspects of a game and even discussed this with many people, TVC included, on the pros and cons on the two games

in a nutshell

pro: KH2 is amazing

con: KH2 ends

Whether 2 is better or not, it at least looks better, and being a graphics whore, I don't want to spoil mself before I am read to move on.

i'd tell you to play it but it's card-based and only i like card-based

KH2: Final Mix (think of it like Ninja Gaiden Black) was a 2 disc edition, 1st disc is KH2 with new items/new battles and an additional ending.

2nd disc is the full 3d remake of COM.

reason for no US release? it's either they don't like money or because they never bothered to bring the first KH: final mix.

Yes, and they added more stuff to it as well (additional boss fight + abilities/items/weapons)

That's what FF7 International was, but the later games didn't have much added content for the US versions, so most of the new stuff in the FF10/10-2/12 Int'l was created just for those and ever seen in any US release. KH1 and 2 have new higher difficulty modes among many other things.
