I didn't really leave because of the Gerstmann thread.  The Gerstmann thread just reminded me of why I left the first time, back in February:

It just seems to me like there's a lot of folks on Evilbore that genuinely derive pleasure from the misfortunes of others, and are truly mean-spirited people.  I'm not asking anyone to be a saint, but a little common human decency would be nice.  And I don't know how much I want to be around people who get off on laughing about shit like that, or the Gerstmann thing.  It isn't a question of me being overly sensitive about such things, either.  It's just that I thought Evilbore was supposed to pride themselves on being a bit above GAF and OA stuff like that, and when I see those types of threads it reminds me that they aren't.

Ragging each other about bad game taste or politics is one thing; laughing at a guy burned beyond recognition or a guy locked out of his office after giving up a decade of his life to a job...well, just makes me think there's something really wrong deep inside that person.  There's nothing playful about it. Just because a person is free to be a shithead doesn't mean they should, because the world's warehouse is already overstocked with shithead.

ewwwwww wtf some goddamn taco started hitting on me, no fucking shit

So gross! I was at the commercial center to check some stuff out and then walking on foot on the boulevard, on my way back to the apart, when at a red light some guy sitting on the right seat of a car started gazing in my direction. He seemed like a mundane young guy in his mid-twenties and had a baseball cap. While waiting for the green light to come he then uttered pretty loudly something to the effect of: "Wow, you're really beautiful!" with a pretty effeminate voice. For split-seconds I took it as some joke, and then noticed that he kept gazing and smiling, and that he was actually serious... I replied to this with a prompt, agressive look and a showing of a middle finger and he just laughed it off. To think that a guy found my face and my mannerisms cute...   


I was so relieved when the green light finally came and traffic resumed. I walked quickly and rushed back here. Damn, I think I could throw up the smoked meat sandwich I ate earlier in the afternoon...

I think you should look at the stuff I would get if I only had the money to buy stuff I really wanted.

When I buy/obtain almost everything its easy to find at least a 50-70% of decent to bad games in my collection - but do not think I am really at home playing all those titles thinking "WOW this is so awesome"

I only bought those two Terminator games as cut-outs because they were cheap and I had just watched the movie.

Unreal Tournament PS2? Because I had just got UTIII, loved it and UT for PS2 was like $3.

I couldn't even tell you when I would have time to open or play these games you claim I have bad tastes over.

I think you should look at what I actually play.

My buying habits arent about to change as it will bring ebay $$'s one day - but dont confuse collecting with playing.
