I took a post-work nap and had a pretty incredible dream. I won't get into the nitty gritty since nobody here reads my detailed and clear posts (yet they consider themselve able to become experts on world religion quickly). There was a cool visual that showed up in 2 different scenes, though.
It was a dark and stormy night. The events of the dream lead me and another person to an old graveyard, a pair of centuries after it had last been used. It was a cemetary on some sort of coast. The other person that was with me was playing the role of tour guide. He had been there before, in short. We got to a rickety, rusted metal fence at the edge of the graveyard, and lightning and our lamps let us view an entire side of the graveyard at once.
What we saw was astonishing. An entire half of the graveyard had been eroded away by waves and wind, leaving an elongated "shore" that waves were smashing against. "Embedded" in the shore (except they weren't embedded, they were uncovered by the erosion) were dozens upon dozens of coffins buried, sticking out of the ground like sideways pegs, some of them intact, some of them metal and rusted, some of them busted to bits. It was really freaky. Of course, during the duration of our visit, things had to happen, and we saw coffins being dragged back into the sea, and get busted up as we were there. Eventually, we had to quickly flee, losing our lights, as the combination of sea and storm got heavier during our visit, making the ground fall apart and collapse around us.
It was crazy. The dream in whole was crazy. It was a little hypergothic murder story.
