Old School- Pen and Paper RPGs. Ever play Rifts?
« on: October 22, 2006, 12:05:59 PM »
Running a Rifts campaign now, never really got into pen and paper RPGs. We would always make characters but never really play. This time is cool though, had a couple sessions and the players are getting into it. Hard work though sometimes when you are the GM.

Anyone else play pen and paper rpg's?

I've read some stuff saying the whole PnP movement is migrating to digital over the next few years.

Closest thing ive played to PnP was the Crimson Skies board game ;D

ugh I remember in like 8th grade someone trying this shit and I was just so bored by it, I was all like ok.

Good for people with imginations I suppose, but it was just too much for me.

It's too bad the N-Gage never took off, that Rifts game looked like a lot of fun

Also, due to the fact that the N-Gage never took off, the publisher of Rifts is all but bankrupt  :'(

What part of "all but bankrupt" did you miss? The guy from that publisher is begging people for donations, I don't think he has the cash to get a DS port going. Too bad they didn't go the DS route from the beginning...

the owner does not want to sell out, but it seems that they will be doing ok, got alot of donations, sold alot of stuff etc. going to go have a puff now and start playing. got 3 dudes in my campaign, one NPC bionic woman bitch. my wife might take that character over. anyhow this will be the forth session i think, they are about to blow up this security room in this office building, so then they will go find the main computer lab to steal some inportant info etc etc.
