I've cleaned the spyware and viruses off of this PC twice. And I didn't do any of that bullshit 'sort-of' clean crap. I meticulously cleaned every infected piece of garbage from the PC.

Twice I did this. In two weeks.

The next week, the lady calls me again telling me her internet isn't working properly. I've had enough. I just reformatted the motherfucker and sent it back clean as a whistle. This was last Thursday.

I got a voice mail on Monday from the same lady telling me her PC is completely fucked up again. She managed to royally fuck up her rig in 4 days. Four fucking days after being reformatted she's got SpyShredder and shit on there that I'm going to have to waste more of my fucking time at work removing.

If someone as computer illiterate and DUMB as me can manage to not infect his machine, I don't see how other people manage.  Oh wait, I completely forgot how stupid most people are.  Nevermind!

Note- to this day I refuse to use my G5 mac to go online AT ALL.  It's an editing machine, plain and simple.  Paranoid?  Maybe, but that thing is building capital.  Best purchase of my life along with the editing decks for what it's given me.

95% of the time they are using internet explorer and visit every site on the internet available and never scan their computer for spyware/viruses.

Yup when I used IE I'd run into some problem monthly. Even after I stopped going to shady porn sites, I'd constantly get spyware shit. I switched to Firefox a couple years ago and haven't had any spyware or popup problems. Now if only this stupid computer wasn't constantly fucking up in other areas...fuck Comp USA
