This series comes on 4 discs like the first series. The art on the packaging is great like the first series. The CPM releases had some pretty blah packaging designs even tho the old box the DVDs came in had a lot of room to work. Unlike the first series released a few months back, Slayers NEXT does not have the weird transfer issue during the OP for either sub or dub. Looks like they dun figured out what they did wrong :p
I would also say the video looks a litttttttle cleaner than I remember, but that could just be me noticing the difference in production values between the first and second series. The third series is out in February, and this will complete the release.
Was glad this was getting a re-release cause lolz lost my DVD copies when I needed money in AZ. This show is only one season long becasue the japanese didn't want a space opera when it was released. Gay. ADV lost the rights and now we have a different group releasing it. The packaging is typical thinpak packaging but there art is nice and it doesnt look ghetto. There's 5 discs, they've also replaced the ADV OP EDs with the real ones. The dub is still fantastic and imo has much more personality than the japanese version. Canal's dub actress is teh hilarious. Other than that not much in the way of extras. They did release a lot of stuff on the DVDs official website tho.
