My stupid Final Fantasy VII that I bought on ebay last year came all scratched up and covered in some sticky substance. I've tried to clean it, but it keep freezing right at this part right before Cloud is on a motorcycle trying to help his friends escape a factory on a golf cart.

Have fun with the game-athon.  I would love to re-play FFVII for nostalgic purposes.  It would be a straight playthrough, though.  No chocobo breeding.  Forget the noise.

As for video game cities, my fav is still FFVIII's Esthar.  The music was also godly.

I don't know which to choose: midgar or esthar. I think Esthar is cooler looking and shit, but Midgar has more meat and you actually get to learn about its culture and all o dat. The various sectors made me love Midgar to death. So amazing.

Rman: I can beat FFVII in 25-30 hours. I'm just doing the story stuff.

I traded FFVII a long time ago.  I would join you guys if I had it.  :'(  I had the black label original release, not the neon green GH version.  I traded the majority of my PSone library to purchase a Dreamcast.  I do regret trading FFVII and MGS out of my PSone library.

The brothel scene in Midgar had to be one of the coolest scenes in a Final Fantasy game.

Wouldn't a hacked PSP work better?

No lag due to network connections and hacked firmware allows you to load multiple disc from one memory stick, provided the MS is large enough.

But I guess your way is the best if you don't want to hack your psp.

Its already hacked, I just can't be bothered with all the prep it takes just to turn the Disk data into a Pops Eboot file.
