So dangerous in fact that you get assaulted by random vandals on every single street corner that you cross. Geez, how do you guys manage to live in these conditions?
Pretty cool game apart from that, I'm finally finishing it. Some nagging issues, though:
-Too many assaults from angry homeless people/yakuza gangsters (it's almost like random RPG battles)
-Too soon, gameplay consists of nothing but "enter that building/area and beat up everyone" for basically every mission, and some dull fetch quests... more varied missions would've helped
-Cutscenes can't be skipped
-Certain character replies are repeated too often
-Camera angles are really crappy with certain boss fights
-Too many load times all over the place
What's really good:
-Nice minimal RPG elements that don't overshadow everything else, but still provide a compelling reason to keep playing
-Gigantic city that truly does feel like a miniature replica of real urban life
-Quality english dub
-Successfully emulates action asian films in video game form; surprisingly mature and blunt dialogue and situations, that yet are very cool and don't feel cheesy
-Good humor
-Very good story, good cast of characters
-Nice music
-Reasonably good beat 'em up elements, creative boss fights that require you to really come up with well thought-up strategies to win
-Yakuza 2 will come out in North America... I wonder how they'll name the third one that's set in medieval Japan
