i have borrowed tvc's little white wii and have spent the last three hours waggling. good god is it ugly on hdtv. worst console ever. anyway, here are my experiences with its subpar library.
super mario galaxy is fun. i hate waggling to spin and pointing at star shit, so i subtract two points for that. also STORY WTF ARGH. still, when it's going, it's awesome. after beating the good egg galaxy, i put it roughly on par with sunshine, maybe a slight bit better since i imagine it doesn't fall apart in the last levels.
zelda lol. played and beat the 'pube version; no need to play the inferior version with its lack of camera controls.
zack and wiki seems cute, but the puzzle areas reset when you fail, which is cumbersome if it's a multi-part puzzle. it's a'ight, i guess. waggle waggle.
re4 wii edition seems a bit easier with pointing. first game that seems to work well with the waggle stick, and its ironically a port of a game that already had good controls. ultimately, waggle is a total marginal improvement for first- and third-person shooters.
re: umbrella chronicles is fun but really ugly. shooting zombies never gets old, but this would be much MUCH better as a ps3+guncon3 game.
scarface is really bad. the cursing button DOES provide some amusement, though.
wii play is an atrocity. wii sports is also not fun. i asked my wife to play because she is a filthy non-gamer who should like non-games, but she said it looked kinda stupid and i agreed and so there we are. i might try to get her to play bowling later. or maybe not.
tvc forgot to include metroid prime ass corruption so no go there.
jesus fuck playing this on my hdtv is like a holocaust for the eyes. i'd move it upstairs to my sdtv but tvc only included the component cables. that's right: the wii is virtually unplayable unless you DOWNGRADE your tv and connection. "optimized for s-video" should be on the box.
there you go. happy fucking new years. you'e better off spending your $250 on two bottles of johnny walker green label than this crap.
