And if you think the Giants have a fucking chance in hell, I'd suggest you change the name of the forum to Bullshit.

I went 3-1 the first weekend, split the divisional and was perfect on my conference picks.  I haven't had a losing record this entire postseason.  Eat it sports analysts.

All right!  An offseason of obnoxious bragging New York fans or obnoxious bragging Boston fans!

Didn't realize until I was actually watching the AFC game how badly I wanted the Chargers to win.

I'd take New York for sure, simply because if Boston wins the NBA Championship, then they will have pretty much run the professional sports gambit.  And I don't think I can take that from Bill Simmons.  Really.

Wow, first Super Bowl I watch since the one with the Janet Jackson nipple scandal. Can't believe one of the home teams is in it, even though they don't have a shot in hell.

Giants in the super bowl? this can't be life.

I guess I'll root for the giants anyway just to read Simmons's reaction.

Coming home from work I stopped by the newsstand and saw the SI Cover, with Favre pumping the football and snow falling down in Lambeau Field.

The SI Cover Curse strikes again.

Tsunami, who are you rooting for?  I thought you were a Patriots fan.

Giants all the way

I'm partially a Patriots fan due to the region I'm living in but the team I put above them is the Giants. Definitely rooting for them in the Super Bowl.

This whole Post Season has been a blur

Redskins fired Gregg Williams and Al Saunders.  Dan Snyder has hired himself as head coach.

... I'm not necessarily agains firing Williams.  I don't think he could've ever coexisted with Snyder.  But I don't know why he's not looking at more qualified coordinators or position coaches.  Why hasn't Russ Grimm been called, yet?

Despite the open lobbying by players, fans, and WashPost columnists, Snyder couldn't bring himself to promote Gregg Williams.  Oh well.  Looks like Danny boy's living up to a caricature of himself.  Here I thought he'd learned his lessons.

Yeah, the mind boggles.  I think Gregg Williams will be a good head coach and he doesn't deserve the headache he'd have to endure with Snyder.  Really fucking disappointing.  As much as I'd love for him to stick around, I still think he would not mesh with Snyder - it's like fitting a square peg in a round hole.

But instead of this promised continuity and stability - he's blown up the staff and made Vinny Cerrato, arguably the worst GM ever, the man in charge of football operations.

It's funny just how broad the support for Williams is around here.  Now we know what it takes to get Sally Jenkins and Thomas Boswell on the same side of an issue.

Boswell made an analogy to Peter Angelos running Davey Johnson out of town, and that sounds about right to me.  Remember how great that worked out.

Difference is Davey Johnson proved himself, whereas Gregg Williams has proven himself to be a great coordinator.  Whether or not he's a great head coach is to be determined.  It didn't work out well in Buffalo.
