Yeah, that's a hell of a level, really fun

but that wasn't my point, i am not hating on the gameplay, i am hating on the graphics and that level was so big and wide it made the graphics look worse

They spent all that time doing neat shit like replays from any angle and forge MP, and forgot about coherent storytelling.  Every level played like a minigame.  That's why people like certain levels and hate others.  They liked those particular minigames, like the "dodge the mean apes in the bomb room" minigame on that one level

That stuff didn't bother me, really.  Halo was never the prettiest series of games in my opinion.  The "greatest hits" storytelling style of rehashing the previous two games is what killed it for me.  It was fun, but the same fun, and I haven't touched it since.  I want to give MP another try soon, and check out the forge stuff.

It's truly amazing how the "360 has nothing for 2008" thing got such traction. Not only does it totally defy logic, but we already know about like 10 shit hot games coming out for it next year, we just lack dates.

I think they're implying that 360's releases won't sell (hence the "Where's the Gears or Halo of this year?"), while PS3s are known high sellers (on PS2). Which is a funny little flip flop. It's also funny because none of PS3's 2008 titles have a chance of outselling Gears and Halo 3, except Gran Turismo.

I think AA just likes to be different, distinguished mentally-challenged more like it, by saying the dumbest shit you can think of.  Last month he was telling everyone how "we don't need God of War 3."  Like Kev said, he gets behind games out of nowhere as if he's starting a grass roots movement.  I remember during E3 it was all about CoD4, after Haze turned out to be absolute shit. 

On topic, I like Resistance 1 especially the later half of the game.  Some sick geometry and architecture.  Hope this one turns out good as well.

SOCOM actually IS very AAA in terms of popularity. I don't know if this is the PS2 effect or not (probably is), but a LOT of people play that game and IMO it's janky, broken shit. It needs an MGS4 style overhaul of the controls.
