How does 2 not have an incredibly detailed city? It has 2, plus one small town which are far more detailed than anything in Shenmue 1. You've got like 50 different people on one screen, all with their own facial features and different voices. The environments are FAR larger too. The difference between the two, though, is that Shenmue 1 has characters who have lives and actually have a schedule. But Shenmue 2 is great at setting the whole stranger in a distant land thing.
Shenmue 2 is full of gay implications! Did you not see the part where Ren says "I gotta go piss" when Ryo and Ren are handcuffed together, and Ryo's hand reaches around for Ren's dick?
Plus, Shenmue 2 has Ryo shut every single girl down, more so than Nozomi. Joy is practically showing her tits to Ryo and he's like shut the fuck up bitch you're in the way.
I love both but I just think 2 is the far better "game".
