you can get a memory card.  my friend got one when he went to the xbox launch party and got it autographed by cliffy B.

but they are totally useless.

it doesn't make sense to complain about installing this game.  unless every multiplatform capcom game requires you to install the game.  then I could see people filling up their hard drives.

it makes sense complaining about it because when i get a ps3 i do not want to install ANY of my games and it should NEVER be forced

it's technically a movie!*

spoiler (click to show/hide)
*although if it's a 720p movie than it would take up a lot of space on the 360 version.

you do know Ratchet and Clank makes you save some stuff to the drive before you play, right? Remeber the 500MB glitch when it was released? and Heavenly Sword? DMC4 is no different. again, just another diary of a mad black person

The fact that it DOES install on the HD makes me lean towards the PS3 version.

Yeah FFXI works with a utility from the PSN store that makes a PS2 OS partition on your PS3 HDD.

Street Fighter Alpha and other games like RE outbreak dont work.

i'm actually pretty surprised at how fast VF5 360 loads considering there is no hdd install like the ps3 version -- which STILL has some loading between battles.

you should never have to install jack shit for a console game, and considering most of these games don't benefit from better load times makes it even more hilarious that ps3 fans actually support that crap

PS3 gets quicker loading times while the 360 gets none, because that stupid tard pack has gimped the 360 for life.  Himuro is just bitter because he fell into Microsoft's trap and now has to deal with the inferior version of DMC4.

Btw, HDD install is NOT an issue for PS3 fans because our HDDs are so large, we have PLENTY of room for it.  Most all 20GB owners have upgraded their HDD already.

Anyway, Heavenly Sword requires one, Ratchet & Clank: ToD does a minor one, and there are other games which do one.  This is NOTHING new.

mandatory install on ps3 is just another phrase for "BRD-ROM is slow as fuck, we must compensate somehow!"

fuck installs PERIOD on consoles.  save that shit for the PC.

dmc4 ps3 will be bigger than 7 gig

reasons?

1- 5.1 pcm (for e-penis)

2- duplicated data files for faster load times (hello uncharted)

3- lazy uncompressed data?

4- the 20 minute install will have a movie, that will take what? 100mb? 500mb? whatever

pretty much what groo said.  despite "installing" vf5 on my ps3 and wasting valuable disk space, i'm still left with noticable loading between matches in a FIGHTING game.  i don't see how this improves anything.

also, I am fine with HDD install option as long as:

1- it is OPTIONAL, NGS offered me to install and i did, took 20 min and what happened after i selected a mission? MY PS3 FROZE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, afterwards i deleted the 4 gig file, i don't need this shit.

2- developers MUST not use this as an excuse like patches (ie release first then patch) which is EXACTLY what is happening now, and thanks to MS, they have a policy for patches, PATCHES MUST BE SMALL (1 to 3 mb max i think) unlike PS3 (lol 30 to 100 mb patch, the fuck is this? a PC? i want to play DAMMIT!)

i agree - but that's to do with the controller rather than anything to do with the mandatory install.

That said - i almost went that route with WE2008, thank GOD i let my PES/WE nut friends buy the PS3 version first!

yep controller

all versions of we2008 were shite though

all versions of dmc4 will be good if not great
