I went to the beach less than 2 weeks ago and the weather was perfect. now it's raining like fuck.
I think the storm drains are getting clogged because a lot of sidewalks were flooded. and I was hydroplaning like a motherfucker on the highways.
in safeway, they had no power. I came out empty-handed although apparently the cashiers were somehow able to do their jobs. I guess they had a generator but it wasn't able to do the lights too.
also, a bunch of tree branches fell on the roads. one huge ass branch completely closed the street adjacent to this one. workers had to come and put up orange cones on both sides of the street so they had room for the wood chipper and trucks.
I knew this would happen since global warming makes the transition between seasons more radical. but it's still fucking wet.
