games they NEED to bring to xbla
« on: January 06, 2008, 09:55:10 PM »
after playing Doom I was thinking 'fuck Heretic would be awesome' I would buy it in a second, if only for the music. Basically the soundtrack took midi to a whole new experimental level with mixed results, the whole thing was completely avant garde and unlike anything else. Me and my friends used to smoke heaps of pot and listen to it for hours

Duke Nukem 3d - ditto

Puyo Puyo, would be insane with online ranked matches

all the treasure megadrive stuff, would be bonkers playing Gunstar Heroes online co-op

Raidiant Silvergun - cos I wanna play it

All of Capcom's Marvel Fighters all the way from Children of the Atom to MVC2.  Hopefully, they could strike a deal with Activision, the current Marvel license holders, like Konami did with Ubi and TMNT Arcade.

If I had to pick one it would be Marvel Super Heroes.

Blast Corps.  Seriously, what's the hold up?  It's the perfect XBLA game and they own the thing.  Should be a no brainer.

More fucking fighters! I would actually love to see some of the more obscure fighters make to the service (like some lesser know Neo Geo fighters like Ninja Masters and other bizarre fighters).

Twinkle Star Sprites!!!

Also, more fighters are always good... how about some early era 3D fighters? Virtua Fighter 2, Tekken 3, etc. And of course any SEGA racing game, like Daytona USA 1 and 2.

Some form of HD Defender. I think Scramble is up already but it doesn't do it for me. I want a HD remake with flashy effects. They can keep the old-school sound fx tho.

More fighters FO' SHO'.  Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Samurai Shodown II are coming, and that's great...but more would be the awesome.

Also maybe a first-person shooter from say, the last DECADE might be nice.

Much like with the Marvel games, licensing keeps these games from ever getting home versions or re-releases.  Good thing there's perfect emulation!

Ferrariman, you know about the Model 2 emulator, right?  Daytona USA!  :bow

Scenester, I do believe that Puyo Puyo is up on the Japanese XBox Originals marketplace.  Not sure if it has online play or not.

no achievements = no sale

the problem with emulation is you can use as many credits as you want, achievements give good incentive to get good at the game and play it a lot

Phantom Dust should be one of those XBox Originals downloads, first of all.

I'd love to see Rampart on XBLA (fucking PSN getting that game is shitty), Wizard of Wor (come on that would be a dope remake), Elevator Action, Cadash, Quartet...
