Prole: When will Visual Studio 2008 be on sale?

Seems like it's only available via an MSDN subscription now.

Also, any idea what kind of volume keys it's going to have? I've got no idea what kind of keys our Visual Studio uses on campus. They're already pre-entered on the CDs we get from Microsoft, and I'm not privy to info like that.

So yea, let me recap:
When will I be able to buy myself a copy of VS 2008 Pro?
What type of volume keys are used for it? VA, MAK, KMS?

No idea if you'll have any of this info, but I'm having a hell of a time navigating the MS website now to try and figure this out on my own.

im working with 2008 now...had to go through some bullshit file conversions though. I'm working with Visual Source Safe + Visual Studio 2008 and it's not liking the fact that I don't check out projects when I'm building them. I was stuck in buildhell for 5 hours yesterday! grrrr
