Sony add XMB in game... long easy right maybe?

"Sony’s gaming division might have a small showing at this year’s CES, but that isn’t keep Paul Purdy from dropping some big PS3 news: in-game Xross Media Bar (XMB) access is confirmed for 2008. When pressed for a date or timeframe with more solidarity, the Sony rep countered with a "no further comments" and left us praying that the long-awaited feature will release sooner rather than later."

"is confirmed for 2008" is the new "is confirmed for 2007"

i expect a similar "OMG SONY :bow" response akin to the giving back of the rumble feature.

I must admit, it's a fantastic tactic - take existing stuff away and fail to include standard features and add them back slow and everytime you do your fanbase will throw flowers/panties at you in your honour!

Hell, they were getting praised for taking away rumble "Oh i turn it off all the time" , "oh it holds up games because people have to include rumble this will help developers" (weird given all the delays to PS3 games that DON'T have it) , "it hurts my wrists" etc...

i need to ask this question openly because i think it needs to be answered...
Does ANYONE know ANYONE who isn't on the Sony payroll that actually thinks the Home beta is any good?
Every single person i've talked to has said "lol home..." or "why queue to play a video game at an arcade when you can do it virtually in home! YES, only one person can play the machine..." or some other similar "WTF? Sony don't get it" comment.

DC, listen to the latest 1up yours podcast.   i think you'll have a field day with the "Home gives PS3 a SOUL" talk.
