Some of you asked me to alert you all to special deals and whatnot.  This promotion is not circulating in-store, but online customers can print this and have the brick and mortar stores scan it for more trade-in credit.  You can stack it with an Edge card subscription for 40% extra credit too.

As a general rule, do PSP games trade in for anything?

Thanks for the heads-up, btw

Depends on the games.  Games that get traded in a ton are worth crap and unfortunately, due to the bundles, Daxter is worthless.  Even the new Battlefront game is only $8.  But that potentially becomes $11.20 with this promotion.  If you got a stack of shit to unload, this is the time to do it.

It's also rare that GameStop requires just 3 games for the promotion.  The past 9 mos., to get the same credit, you had to trade in FIVE or more (three just got you 10%).

Hmmm, I have a few DS games to trade-in. I was gonna sell them to Nick, but he's apparently a finicky gay dude.Maybe I'll trade in Vegas as well, before Vegas 2 comes out and makes it obsolete.

If Ubisoft's milking of the Rainbow Six franchise on the original Xbox is any indicaton, keep your copy, Cajole.

Good point. I've barely had the time to play it anyhow. I should try to get my money's worth, I guess.

There's no explaining ebay

I once sold a book I had bought out of a $3 remainder bin for $35 - this was a reprint book of comics, and you could buy the actual comic issues themselves for less than $35

What the fuck? Is it rare or something?

Could be, I went through my DS games to see how they fared and Tetris always ended at like $50

I just don't really want to deal with waiting for a MO (I dont do PayPal on eBay), then shoving it in a package and going to the Post Office

Yea, I would have to do a MO. I have a personal account with Paypal since I don't want to pay a fee everytime I use it.

You know, that's some really weird shit. I'm replacing all the DS games that I lost (or were stolen by the TSA, however you want to look at it) and Tetris is one of 'em. So I go on eBay, looking for cheap shit... and yep, just about every auction has Tetris going for around $50. WHEN IT IS IN STORES EVERYWHERE FOR $29.99.

I did pick up Metroid Pinball, Gunpey and Card Fighters Clash DS for hella cheap though so that's cool.

I usually just price my DVD/Game stuff "Buy it now" by taking an average of prices from completed listings, and let it run 7 days.  I hate using Paypal because ebay already gets a big enough slice (they own Paypal), but it's so easy to print up shipping labels through Paypal, and then you don't have to wait in line at the PO - you can just hand it to your mail carrier or put it in the drop box.  I buy a big pack of self-sealing padded envelopes, and add the cost of the envelope to the shipping price.  I keep the shipping price pretty low, as close to actual shipping cost as possible - stuff moves quicker that way.  I also put a piece of bubble wrap inside the game/dvd case to keep the disc from coming off the hub - people like that.

If I sell one of my old Golden or Silver Age comics, I have to do a lot of grading and research, so I price the starting bid at the lowest price I'm willing to take, set it for 7 days, and see what happens.  Sometimes they only sell for starting price, sometimes people get crazy.

^ that's why i understand the demi approach.  it's a lot less hassle to offload shit at gamestop.

i might consider going the ebay route, but the research part is pretty time consuming, especially with the volume i'm looking at right now.  but i could really use the extra cash it generates.  thanks for the tips.

You're welcome.  It's easier than it sounds, once you have your mailing supplies ready.  For DVDs and games I usually just let the pre-filled information do the selling for me, and add a line or two about the disc not having any scratches or whatnot.

I just traded in about 7 games, and made off with $170 in credit. I picked up Ass Creed and COD4 used, since they already sold a shitton already, I'm sure they wont miss one sale. I have about $80 on my card, for DMC4.

What does Halo 3 trade in for?  I haven't touched mine since I finished the SP the first week it came out, not wanting to hear the various combinations of negro homosexual I would be called on MP

I traded in Halo 3 couple days ago. GS is giving $28 for it. GameCrazy is giving $30.

Also, I walked up to the 360 demo station, after seeing a woman play a game on it. So I pick up the Les Paul, and find out its Rock Band. I choose "new difficulty" cause I can do expert on that shit and look cool. Unfortunately, the game locked up on the loading screen, so the guy restarted the Xbox.

... it red ringed. HUAHUAHUAHUAHAU

PS3 is home to several solid, but not GOTY-worthy titles.
