I met the deniro charachter though, he owned some resteraunts in south florida when he got older.  Deniro was a good match for him imo.

Turturro almost wasn't cast in Unstrung Heroes, because he was too Jewish.  Even though he's Italian and the character he wound up playing is Jewish.

That's hardcore.

Behar's not an Italian name.  Doesn't end in a vowel, and that's really rare for an Italian name.

Her birth name, Josephina Victoria Occhiuto, is slightly more Italian.  She took her husband's last name.
