I buy roms;

- I like the Wii's emulation and the classic controller better than mame and PC controllers

- I like to have my roms properly licensed

- VC kicks ass and the selection is good if the top two things are important....

I have tried to play some classic console roms on PC emulators but they never get the fukkin audio right

I remember I had a 2 disk set from a guy at the office that was loaded with many international genessis roms and an emulator for the dreamcast - its was fukk awful emulation.....the lovely FM Genesis music turned into bleepy bloopy crap by the bad emulator trying to software mimic the Genesis's audio powers.

Getting the sound right is a major fukkin thing to me....

Playing Phantasy Star II in Spanish was cool tho

Do you mean the current prices? Or VC in general? I think it's a cool initiative for ''legal'' rom distribution. I do think the current prices are too high.

For what you get the prices are a bit high - but then again they will have shyt like Faxanadu and perhaps my Technosoft favs from the 16 bit era...

Right now the best value in DLC is on the PSN IMO.

Especially since they have 32-bit era games at 5 bucks a pop. Pacman for NES on VC cost the same

XBOXLive! Arcade is better than VC too from a price standpoint.

Arcade version of Contra for the same price as NES contra on the VC....
