Believe it or not, you don't even know the most ludicrous part.  That was Sharon Stone MURDERING the passenger.  Yes, she could have just as easily died herself, and she left the actual killin' to natural drownin', but no, it was MURDER.

They did try to get David Cronenberg to direct this, I believe around 2000 or so. I guess they figured it opened with SEX AND CAR CRASH. . .BETTER GET CRONENBERG!
