I personally think its some creepy shyt.

They end up looking like midget hookers.

I got this on my mind because yesterday I was checking out IMDB RE that child actress in The Reaping.

Anyway creepy kid - but then I stumbled upon this picture where she is made to look even more creepy donning the stylings of a girl aged 24+???




Fucking creepy to the maximum extent allowed by my grasp on sanity.......

Then I started remembering the times I have seen shows about Child Pagents - where these usually 30-40+ yr old parents force their kids to try to dress like adult ladies and the result is something that scars my memory as bad as shit porn pictures.....

I mean how the hell could you do this to your kid.... :(



Does anyone else find this very disturbing besides me?

I think the youngest that girls should be doing this kind of pageant stuff and either doing their own hair/makeup or having a professional salon do it all for them is age 15 or so....

less than 10 years old and wearing thigh highs is a bit much :(

I am guessing the people that go-to these things are wierd hillbillies and hardcore oldschool bible belt religions types of people that have to seethe out their pervert exploits in other ways....

am I over-reacting?

Uh, child actors aren't so bad, but those child models are pretty frightening. I would never do that to my kid unless they wanted it, and I can't imagine that happening with a healthy helping of Nintendo and XBox growing up.

Sorry that my first example ended up being a child actress - There is a difference between being a paid child actress and being offered up to the hoards of pedophiles by your parents as if being sacrificed to a volcano.

Still that kid looks freaky.

Child actress you posted either has a HUGE noggin or the hair makes it look that way.

The little Jon Benet-type kids have always creeped me the fuck out.  It's pretty sickening how parents do that to their kids.  I imagine the allure is that the kid may one day become famous and then the parents will be on easy street.

I think the whole pageant thing for small children is a little weird, but at the same time I think it would be okay with me if I had a little girl who wanted to do that. I wouldn't force it on my kid, though.

Well when I was little I wanted to model, so I'm not sure that it's SO uncommon. My godmother's daughter modeled and my godmother always told my mom that she should sign me up for modeling, but my dad always said no. I was always tall for my age, very very thin, and pretty. [Dunno what happened. ;)] I used to beg my dad to let me model but he never budged.

I'm not sure why this kind of crap is popular in the states. Those kind of contests died in the '80 here. Are there really a lot of jon-benett type contests down there?
