I doubt it will get re-designed anytime soon.  The form factor is already pretty striking.  The rumors for an upgraded model with 3g support point to spring 2008.

Also, the macbook air is supposed to be competitively priced. Costing more than the current macbook and being less powerful does not make it very competitive.

Really? I was kinda disappointed. I really want a subcompact. New MacBooks is neat, but it looks like a lot of sales and then assorted iPhone stuff...and no iTunes movie rentals. :\

I don't know how good it is, but isn't the whole Mac gaming = lolz thing a thing of the past now, what with Boot Camp and all?  Plus major games like WoW and UTIII are on Mac anyway.
