Demon Seed

A film based on a a Dean Koontz story made in 1977.

The plot outline:

A super computer succeeds in raping its creator's wife in order to recreate itself in a hybrid baby.

Do I need to say more? It's HAL 2000 knocks up the wife. There is a supercomputer on woman rape scene, complete with a holographic 70s era computer graphics orgasm montage. And yes, the pregnancy is a success and the baby is finally revealed. I think I enjoyed this film a bit too much.

I personally wouldn't mind this if I were a housewife.  70s supercomputers are HOT.

OK, after mulling it over a bit, I think I'd like to write and direct a remake of this movie.  I don't really have to see the original though, do I?

The original is pretty good, and I read the novel it's based on (which is really different).  Julie Christie!!!

Bare-bones DVD is out from Warner Bros, btw.
