Man, I love the first movie.  It is so trashy in the awesome sense.  I love Paul Verhoeven.  And that scene is the shit, not for the snatch shot, but for Newman's expression immediately after.  It's like he soiled his drawers.  Sharon Stone is awesome in that movie, too.  She's so fucking hot.  The way she looks, the way she carries herself, in her line delivery.  I can really see why she wanted to return to the role.  That was her best acting moment, and she totally played it to the hilt and hit gold.  Unfortunately, I guess she got too cocky in the ensuing decade, because the sequel is abysmal, and she is abysmal in it, and I am not just speaking about her plasticy sheen.

I think that's why she nailed the role so much.  She handled the extensive nudity like a fucking porn star.  The way she moved and walked, you knew that SHE knew her body was pretty much flawless, and she was fucking rubbing it in your face.

In the sequel, well, she has clearly had a lot of surgery, so maybe she ISN'T so confident in her looks.  Although she is coasting so bad in it I can't really tell.
