Huh? I guess to pinpoint why I don't like the multi would be that you pretty much have to resort to being a sneaky wisp in order to not get shot. I get stressed always looking behind me and zipping all over the place.

Call of Duty 4 is awesome. I was just playing it. I got my brother to buy a copy and he's a Halo addict. And he admitted it trumps Halo 3. It's funny, because everyone and their mother was playing Halo 3 around its release. A short time later, Call of Duty 4 has made it collect dust!

Did you like the SP too? After beating COD4's SP, I still don't get the hate. The SP's a solid 8 IMO.

I don't get the hate either. It's a very underrated single player campaign. Yes, it's way too short, but it also has some of the best action sequences put in a game and feels like an 80s action film come to life. I really, really dig it.

It's single player was superior to Halo 3, as well. If it was just a single player game, I'd dock it a couple of points, but coupled with outstanding and expansive multiplayer, it's one of the best games to come out in the past few years.

I don't know if it was because we were playing 3p splitscreen multiplayer online, but Halo 3 looked ugly as hell compared to CoD4.

Halo 3 had fancier bump mapping and lighting but COD4 destroys Halo 3 at everything else. It's amazing how much more geometry COD4 is pushing even though it's running at twice the framerate as H3.

as much as i hate bungie's work with Halo 3, the textures, lighting and scope are much better than COD4.

COD4 weakest points are the textures and running in 1024x600.

edit: but then again, Halo 3 = zero AA and 30fps lol.

My brother and his friends are here all the time playing it though, and despite them being huge halo distinguished mentally-challenged fellows they all agree the COD4 > Halo3. I didn't care much for Halo 3, so I'll probably end up agreeing as well.

Were they just talking about graphics or gameplay? If we're just talking about gameplay, it's a much tougher call. COD4 has more interesting combat scenarios while H3 has more interesting AI and many awesome vehicles.

Yeah, for some reason I just don't want to trade it in. I figure maybe I'll want to play it every once in a blue moon down the road. I haven't even played much COD4 recently because I'm been busy and playing some other games. But I've played like 60 hours between the beta and retail game.
