if you wanna upgrade from a current install just execute

gksudo "update-manager -c" from a terminal window

It's really easy actually, as long as you don tog digging under the surface, I can do everything in Linux I can do in windows for the most part, even run shit like office and crap.

You can download a "live cd" that basically boots from a cd and gives you a feel what it would be like, without wiping out your machine.

Vista is nice and fast an shiny, but the future of DRM has me a bit freaked out, never hurts to have a second option.

last time i installed linux it was becuase i was trying to install mac osx on my pc. i should try that again.
