that's really good
is the rest of the album that epic?
Ayreon practically defines the word epic. I will say that the Sixth Extinction is most epic song on the new album IMO. That doesn't take away the total epicness of the rest of the album.
Ayreon isn't really what you would call a traditional "band". Arjen Anthony Lucassen is the main guy behind Ayreon. He writes the music but he hires all these different musicians to make his albums.
I've only been listening to Ayreon recently and I'm trying to take my time so I can really appreciate his albums. The albums are these 2 disc rock/metal/folk operas. I've only listened to The Human Equation which has the notable guests of James LaBrie of Dream Theater, Mikael Ćkerfeldt of Opeth, Eric Clayton of Saviour Machine, and Devin Townsend, to name just a few, and the new 0101101 album.
So as of right now I can only really speak about those 2 albums but it should be noted that Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden was on the Flight of the Migrator album.
Blah blah blah. I'll let the music do the talking for me. Please watch them all because you won't get a good idea from just one song and don't forget about the folk song I posted on the last page because that was Ayreon too.

This is the video that hooked me on them if you can believe it.
