I know it's supposed to suck starting with the next season, but SHIT, totally took all of my theories about who killed Laura and fucking shat on them, then dumped them right out the fucking window.

And, I have to wait until next week to check out the rest of the show FUCK FUCK FUCK.

Those last 2 episodes of season 1 are probably the single best episodes in serialized television that I have ever seen.  It's all downhill from there, though

Trainwreck.  The show doesn't pick up again until the very last episode and even then it's kind of a letdown.  Seemed kind of cheep.

Still, there's nothing like TP when it's hitting on all cylinders.

Yeah, but there's still a huge quality drop, and it doesn't help that season 1 ends on a cliffhanger, leaving you with an unsatisfying conclusion in 2.

It was originally supposed to only be 7/8 episodes.  Then it became a hit and they decided to drag it out.  Actually, when the season 1 finale aired, they still had not announced season 2, so the cliffhanger ending was the confirmation that there would be a season 2.

Lynch effectively left early on in season 2.  He did the first episode and I think he may have done another.

So, I just watched the first three episodes of Season Two.

So far, while it isn't as good as the finale (obviously) it still doesn't suck. I'm waiting for it to start sucking. All I'm seeing is basically classic Lynch weird ass shit, such as the Giant and Bob.

Still pretty good so far.

P.S.: Donna being a badass IS really shitty. Lara Flynn Boyle was slightly hot and I appreciated her performance the first season, but this new stuff isn't that great. This stuff with the weird guy in the trailer park is quite interesting though.

Lynch actually plays a role in the last couple of episodes.  His character is fuck awesome.


In college a couple of friends and I scraped enough change (we were poor) to buy the box set on VHS.  We tried to pace ourselves by only watching one episode a night.....but not too long into season 1 we binged on a weekend and watched all of them nonstop.

I've sort of been keeping with the Twin Peaks blog on AV Club. I finally watched the conclusion of the Laura Palmer story arc. There was some damn good stuff.

I turned it off about two episodes after that. Honestly, it was depressing. I really don't want to see this amazing show destroyed by Super Nadine and Bobby's military dad randomly disappearing.

Still, even with the subpar episodes, this is probably one of the best television shows ever made. I'm definitely buying the Gold Set this summer whenever I have money.
