Who here suffers THE COMMUTE?
« on: October 27, 2006, 09:01:24 AM »
My Carpool driver is out of town for a few days and MAN, I sure am remembering why I love Carpool. In order to avoid 1.5-2 hours of SLOW GRIND Seattle Area traffic every morning I have to be on 405 at 5am, but I still need to GET to 405, which requires I get up even earlier because not only is 405 jammed during rush hour, but the road I take TO 405 is jammed and can take up to 30-40 minutes JUST TO GET TO 405 and 405...dont get me started on that.

Fuck, I wont even mention going HOME during rush hour. So im currently on a up at 4 bed at 7 schedule which is all bonkers. Let me tell you the Seattle Commute is HELL AND REQUIRES A CARPOOL.

So needless to say I will break open the god damned champagne when my carpool gets back cause these earlier hours are teh cry.

Yeah thats bad, sorry coot  :(

Whenever i go to socal i seem to always get stuck on the 5. And then god help you through the grapevine cause you cant weave in and out of trafic to go faster fucking trucks everywhere sucks. But now i just leave super early in the morning around 2am and only have to deal with trucks and not the regular travelers.

My town is pretty bad from 5-6 am and pm but other than that its pretty nice.

No commute for me, which is so awesome after the hell I had to put up with back in Altanta during college and before I came to Japan.  My current "commute" is only about 7-10 minutes down the street, depending on "traffic."  It rocks!

COM...MUTE  ???

Never heard of it.

You've never heard of work, either.  :P

Commuting more than an hour slowly eats your soul. I think there is a study on it.

Do deists believe in souls?
Do libertarians?

Wish we had some speed trains in NA.

Morphix: Did you end up stick that money in savings and letting interest build at least?

I have a few investment accounts, they don't make that much interest but it nets me over 100k a year and that is more than I need.

Right now I am more concerned about low risk than making a lot off of it.
